Reviewing the Conference

The Contact Center Conference--Brave New World--Positioning for the Future
The conference began Saturday morning. Speakers and topics included: Marco Marsan, "Think Naked..learn how to awaken your innate creativity"; Bob Davis, "Not the Only Game In Town--A New Culture"; Classy Sassy--21st Century Sales Rep--witho a live outbound call with challenges facing contact center sales representatives. Breakouts were held on marketing, web order entry and private party. Cindy Mitchel, Houston Chronicle,presented "A New Strategy for Call Centers". There was a panel discussion on outsourcing--The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. Mike Hovda spoke on the"Change in a Fluid Environment." Saturday's luncheon also featured the Call Center Manager of the Year award presented to Gretchen Speerstra.

The Sales and Marketing Conference--The Birth of a New Age of Prosperity and Opportunity
This conference began Monday morning and ran through noon on Wednesday. Speakers and topics included: Dave Parsons, Director of Classified for Lee Enterprises, "Using Online to GROW Marketshare; Dani Torano, Sales Development Manager for EW Scripps, "Engage! Seeking and finding the WIIFM for your Multimedia Sales Force"; Monica White, Director of Marketing, Ventura County Star, "The 7 Deadly Sins of Marketing and How to Avoid Them; Roundtables on recruitment, automotive, real estate, free classifieds and much, much more.
